The Jakaranda and Louis Botha Children's Homes as well as Berg-en-Dal Pregnancy Crisis Centre are situated in Pretoria, caring for 350 children between the ages 3 - 18 years. The majority of these children are placed by the Children's Court for reasons of neglect, abandonment, physical or sexual abuse.

It is only after realising this major need that Elize Kerr, Head of Department, Marketing and Fund-raising for the above mentioned homes, launched the Dynamic Women for Children Forum on the 8th of March 2008.

The main objectives of these Homes are to fulfill in the basic needs of the children, such as love, security, stability, healthcare, food, clothing and education.

Unfortunately, it doesn't stop at basic needs! It is important that these children receive the social training and skills, i.e. life skills, motivation, etiquette and deportment, to be able to cope in society at large.

The aim of this forum is to act as a trusted support group to Jakaranda and Louis Botha Children's Homes as well as Berg-en-Dal Pregnancy Crisis Centre. We strive to improve the children's lives socially and emotionally as well as uplift them morally and intellectually through various reward programs. The forum also endeavors to change the perception of the Children's Homes and financially supports them in all their needs. To represent the Homes to the best of their ability and to live according to their Christian believes. To create an awareness and educate the public regarding the needs of the children and to provide them with the necessary skills to that they can adapt to a world outside the Children's Homes.

The forum presently consists of nine committee members and thirty six members, all business women in their own right. Each member of this forum has the expertise and experience to equip these children with the necessary skills they require for a brighterfuture.

The Income Tax act allows taxpayers who make donations to NGO's registered under section 18A, to deduct these donations limited to a maximum of 5% of the donor's taxable income.
