BERG-EN-DAL PREGNANCY CRISIS CENTRE IN PRETORIA

During March 2010, Elize Kerr, Head of Department for the above mentioned children’s homes was nominated by the SA Council for Business Women as the business women of the year. On the 21st of July the first judging took place before a panel of 7 judges. During a morning function Elize received her first Provincial award for Gauteng. The second judging took place on the 13th of August and all finalists had to attend the gala evening at Bloemfontein. During the evening the winners were announced and Elize received her National trophy.

It has been a passion of Elize for many years to make a difference in the lives of children. The abovementioned homes, caters for approximately 350 children between the ages of 3 – 18 years. The children are mainly placed in the children’s homes by the Children’s Court due to neglect and abandonment, physical or sexual abuse. Our main goal in caring for these children is to fulfil in their basic needs such as love, security, stability, healthcare, food, clothing and education.

Elize hopes that through this award, prospective sponsors will see the above homes as trustworthy organizations and that the public will support her in achieving her goals in the future!
